The Domaine Marquis d’Angerville, owner of the Clos des Ducs, Monopole, in Volnay, has been in the family for over 200 years. The history of the Domaine can be traced back to 1507 and it has the privilege of cultivating 11.5 hectares of Volnay Premier Cru. Guillaume d’Angerville is the sixth generation of the family.

He took over the management of the Domaine after 2003, following in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, thus fulfilling the d’Angerville family’s wish to preserve its integrity and family character. In his early days, he was remarkably supported for about ten years by his brother-in-law, Renaud de Villette, an agricultural engineer who had worked alongside Jacques d’Angerville for fifteen years.

 The Domaine has also converted to biodynamics since 2006, the vines are only treated with natural products.
