A Legacy of Passion, Passed Down Through Generations

Originally, the vineyard formed just one part of the family’s broader agricultural heritage, with the wines crafted solely for the enjoyment of family and close friends.

It was Marine and Gervais, the paternal grandparents of the current generation, who first began selling the domaine’s wines in traditional feuillettes (132-liter barrels, distinctive to Chablis), supplying merchants in Auxerre and Paris.

In 1979, Roland marked a pivotal moment in the domaine’s history by bottling its wines for the first time—an era that also saw the estate take his name. Together with his wife, Brigitte, he expanded the family’s holdings from 5 to 20 hectares, laying the foundation for the domaine’s growth both in France and internationally.

Since 2010, Arnaud and David have carried forward this legacy. In 2012, they enlarged the cellar to accommodate new ambitions, including the acquisition of another family estate—founded by their maternal grandparents—in Bourgogne Epineuil and Bourgogne Tonnerre. The first wines from these venerable 50-year-old vines are set to debut in 2020, opening yet another chapter in the family’s enduring story.
