Located on the way to the Combe de Lavaux, next to the estate of his cousin Bernard Dugat-Py, Emmanuel aka "Manou" is the fourth generation of vignerons to tend the Humbert family estate.

He took over the Domaine from his parents in 1989 with his brother (who has now retired) and since then, they have been quietly and steadily improving the quality of their wines, crafting potions that are focused, serious, complex, and characterful.

His nephew Pierre-Yves Humbert joined in 2017 to support him both in the vineyards and for the vinification.Today they produce wines which reflect their dedicated effort and experience of over 30 vintages. Emmanuel is the dynamic force behind this domaine: he is a thoughtful and passionate man with a great love for wine, food and rugby.

He vinified his first crop in 1983. Emmanuel is well connected in the village of Gevrey-Chambertin, where he can count on a wealth of accumulated winemaking experience from his relations and friends.
