Domaine Michel Niellon

Labeled by Parker as one of the World’s Greatest Wine Estates. In the cramped and small cellars underneath his house, Michel produces some of the very finest white Burgundies. His estate owns less than 6 hectares in total with holdings in Chassagne Montrachet premier cru vineyards of Clos St Jean, Champ Gain, Maltroie and Vergers plus grand cru ownership in Batard Montrachet and Chevalier Montrachet.
Natural upbringing is the philosophy of this domaine. Yields are generous at 45-50 hl/ha. Little new oak, around 25%, is used. Old vines are responsible for the purity and balanced characters. The style is well-loved by wine connoisseurs and amateurs alike. Locally, there are increasing listings of Michel Niellon’s wines at the top restaurants, including Caprice at Four Seasons Hotel.
