Freddy is on top of his game now, not only can one tell by the quality his wine, one can sense his confidence in his wine. They are the benchmarks of this village which produces more feminine and elegant style compared to the rest of the Cotes de Nuits. It is often a privilege to taste his wines; they are precise, delicious and rare!
It is worth noting that the straight Chambolle Musigny is made with two parcels of vines. One is from the village portion of Combe d’Orveau; the other is actually from a premier cru vineyard called Les Plantes. Therefore quality with this village cuvee is quite high and consistently reliable.
